The car was in for a service and MOT nad to resolve a rattling noise form the car. I also opted for a £14.99 wash and valet. The car was serviced and MOTed ok. They said the noise was due to a worn boost valve and changed that at £127 and also charged me the £14.99 for the wash and valet. When I got home it was obvious they had put black tyre paint on the wheels. The car was still dirty inside and out and the alloys hadnt been cleaned. The rattle was still there and two weeks later when I returned again as the noise was awful , they finally found it was the auxillary drive belt tensioner was loose and the belt could come off anytime and deemed the car unsafe to drive. £247 later it was fixed, no comment on why they hadnt found the issue origianlly! Like most main dealers all they seem interested in is servicing, if you have a fault which doesnt show up on diagnostics they dont have a clue how to fault find. I came to High Wycombe branch as the Slough branch told me there was nothing wrong with my rear brakes, but suggested new pads as there was only 20% percent left, when they went to change them they found the pads behind the disc were down to metal and had ruined the discs. I told them this when i delivered the car for the service. They dont listen.. I suspect apprentices do half the work and arent checked. The showrooms and waiting rooms are so smart and fancy but that hides a lack of the correct skills and talent.
