I would not recommend BYD Chester because, while I am very impressed with the car, I am deeply disappointed in the lack of customer care provided. I was forced to follow up multiple times due to consistently slow or lack or response. Most frustratingly, it took two weeks to manually register the BYD app - whikst assured it would take 48 hours; the task was only resolved after I threatened a formal complaint. Throughout this process, personal excuses were frequently used to justify professional delays, which I found highly unprofessional. The car is great, but the service fell well below expectations

BYD Chester staff were good because. I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding our recent experience purchasing a BYD vehicle, in particular the outstanding service provided by Samantha Ricketts. From the very beginning, Samantha was extremely professional, approachable, and genuinely helpful. She handled everything promptly, kept us well informed at every stage, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. It was clear that she truly cares about the customer experience and takes pride in her work. During the two days when Samantha was not available, we were in contact with two other sales colleagues. Unfortunately, the difference in approach was noticeable. We would also like to mention that on Saturday the salesperson did not appear particularly keen to assist further once it became clear that the system was down. We understand that technical issues can happen; however, it would have been helpful if an alternative had been offered, such as checking the matter later the same day or on Sunday, rather than waiting for Samantha to be available on Monday. On Monday before 11:00 am, we contacted the dealership and were informed that Samantha was not at work that day, which is completely understandable. It would have been helpful if someone from the dealership had informed us in advance, rather than us having to follow this up ourselves, as we were keen to complete the purchase as soon as possible following Saturday’s delay. I can say with confidence that if it had not been for Samantha’s commitment and professionalism, we would not have gone ahead with the purchase of this car. Please pass on our sincere thanks to Samantha. She is a real asset to your team and represents the brand in the best possible way. Once again, thank you – we are now very happy BYD Seal owners.
