My experience at Vertu Hyundai Mansfield

We gave the same short brief to four other dealers - "Can you help? We specifically want a "nearly new" fully electric, a car small enough to fit into our quite small car port, economical - more than the usual 3 miles per KHw, and one that can be used to transport quite a high volume of "stuff" with the back seats down, and finally one with head room (I'm quite tall), we have a budget of up to £20K" . All four proceeded to lead us over to brand new cars way too big, and totally ignored our brief! On arrival at Vertu Hyundai, we were met at the desk by the door (good location!) by Emma, who listened, responded positively with every aspect of the brief. We were test driving within 15 minutes, all questions answered (and we had plenty!), and then spent the evening researching "similar models to this brief from all other sources" using internet search and AI. Both means resulted in similar results and confirmed our gut feeling that this car will be right for us. Several of these pointed to overall greater reliability of Hyundai relative to several other car manufacturers. The professionalism and empathy of the sales person, Emma, meant we were happy to return the next day to place the order. We never respond to requests for "satisfaction surveys" for any product until we have tried it out for a month. After one month and 1000 miles we can happily confirm we are delighted. One caveat - the "miles per KwH" was quoted at as "around 4 miles per KwH". We have only experienced 4.1 to 6.2 miles per KwH so far.... perhaps we are driving too carefully, or perhaps warm sunny weather helps! Lovely handling, enjoying the experience of our first EV.
