When I drove the car home, I discovered that the handbrake was not functioning properly. I returned the vehicle the following day and was told that I was correct and should book it in for repair.
I brought the car back the next Tuesday morning and later received a message confirming the issue had been fixed. However, when I went to collect the car, it became immediately apparent upon leaving the car park that the handbrake had not been repaired. The vehicle was taken back in again, and we waited in reception for an hour before having to chase for an update, at which point we were informed the car would not be ready.
I was provided with a loan car (and reminded to replace any fuel used), while my own vehicle remained with you for a further six days to resolve what should have been a straightforward handbrake issue. During this time, I had to repeatedly follow up for updates.
When I was finally notified that the repair was complete, I returned to collect the car, only to find it in a very dirty condition. I raised this at the time and was offered a future collection to have the car cleaned. However, as I needed the car immediately, I had no choice but to clean it myself.
Overall, the aftercare and communication throughout this experience have been very disappointing.

I'd suggest Vertu Hyundai Exeter to a friend because of Andy Hallum, he also sold me my last car. He is not what I would call a typical car salesman which is a good thing.
He wasn’t pushy, he answered my numerous questions, listened to what I wanted and helped me get the car I wanted. He spoke to me rather than to my husband which is something I have experienced in the past. He appears a genuine guy who is very good at his job.

The experience at Vertu Hyundai Exeter was fantastic because of the relaxed friendly atmosphere. We did not feel pressured, were given time to deliberate our interest, and then when we returned during a busy Saturday afternoon for them Peter fit us in with a test drive. When we were still asking questions at closing time Peter and Mathew were very patient and accommodating. We bought the car from them and two weeks later are very happy! Would definitely recommend and return in the future.
