I'd recommend Vertu Honda Sunderland to a friend because....The vehicle was a first car for my son and was bought over the telephone unseen or tested. The vehicle was a particular model/spec and was exactly as advertised. The overall experience given that we live 300 miles away and did not visit the dealership or have face-to-face contact was fantastic.

My experience at Vertu Honda Sunderland could have been better because
The condition of the car was well below standard all the faults on the car.
Then there was a massive mess up with the gap insurance which coste even more time and money..
The lack of customer care is appalling.
Not once was offered a courtesy car while my car was in getting fixed on the numerous faults that was on the car..
Also I have not been offered a service plan for for the car or the gap insurance reinstated on the car..
I went to honda in Sunderland because I have always had a honda civic and the quality is normally outstanding..
But I do not think after the experience I have had I shall buy another one from the dealer in Sunderland.
I would like to say that the manager Craig did try to help me with getting the car all fixed but to be honest the car should never have been sold to me in the condition that it was in.
I would understand it from a low key back lane garage but not main dealers.. and the slogan is Honda approved used cars..

My experience at Vertu Honda Sunderland could have been better because I would like my issue addressed rather than fobbed off, and wait till winter when the battery will probably fail.


I wouldn't go as far as not to recommend them the staff are really freindly and certainly go the extra mile for you, I am just feeling a little disillusioned by the experience, I went there after paying 600 last year for welding to be told this year I need welding on my old car, which I was not happy about at all, I was offered a few cars at first but they did find the car I have now and tried to finance it it seemed to go through, then suddenly was declined at which point the dealerships interest seemed to wither, I searched for finance and asked if they could budge at all on the price they said no, I advised previously I wanted to trade in my car if I remember correctly they offered 100 pounds and then there appeared to be a delay in collecting the vehicle, when the day arrived I picked up the car and we all seemed over the moon that it was finally happening, however the steering wheel was slippy and I have noticed a few examples of damage to the paint work through bird droppings the skirts were black to a point it has actually stained the sponge and then I have received a service notification so it seems it hasnt been serviced, the my honda app doesn't work on it the tank was not far off empty when I got it and then I found out that floor matts arnt included with it I paid 9 grand for the car, it is a car that I always wanted and I am delighted to own it, but I could have at least had floor mats and a tank of fuel for 9k, also I think there should be some sort of scrappage scheme I spent a fortune in parts for my old car and to be offered 100 pounds is a little unfair the starter alone cost 132 thats without the new tyres and engine components. I cannot fault the staff, but as a whole when looked at objectively the service falls due to what can actually be delivered.

I'd recommend Vertu Honda Sunderland to anyone because they are very helpful, courteous and very efficient.
