I'd recommend Johnsons Volkswagen Birmingham because I had excellent communication throughout the purchase. I was travelling a few hundred miles to get the vehicle I wanted, so I was relying on the video I got of the car and other correspondence to ensure this was the car was right for me. The team at Johnson's were really friendly and constantly responded to emails and calls, plus were quick to support when I had issues with the web applications.
I was very happy with my experience with the dealership and would definitely buy from there again in the future. Thank you for making the purchase simple. I definitely made the right decision purchasing this car.


My experience at Johnsons Volkswagen Birmingham could have been better because for starters, it is both the distance and my personal experience. I pre-booked a viewing around a week in advance, only on the day when I drove 2.5 hours to see the car having already placed a holding deposit on it and being told that morning theres no reason it wouldn't be ready that afternoon, when going to purchase it and take it home, whilst I was there they found it was an MOT failure and needed a part delivered and then fixed before I could get the car. I still went ahead with the purchase but then had less contact with the dealership once I had parted with the money. I kept being given time frames that were not met, and when I finally had the car delivered, I was told that I would recieve an email with the car's service history etc. and also a call the next day. I did not recieve either the call or the email, so I emailed on the same chain I had been using throughout the process requesting the service history and have not been sent it so still do not have any paperwork for the car online or printed. Overall, I felt that I was being led on and once the purchase was made, I felt I became less of a priority despite spending £15000 (including the warranty). I was provided with a better deal on the car as the asking price and warranty took me over my budget, so the price of the car was amended by just under £200 to meet me at my budget but I feel this was an act of compensation due to their lack of fulfilled promises. I was told the car would be polished and cleaned prior to my arrival and although it was polished, there was polish residue over various parts of the car where it had not been done properly and the car inside wasn't particularly clean. I would not recommend this dealership mainly because when parting with such a huge amount of money in one go, you want to feel at ease and I did not.
