I would not recommend Johnsons Volkswagen Stoke because when purchasing a car they are very attentive, once you’ve driven away they do not want to know you. A new log book and refunds take a ridiculous time to come through once you’ve picked a car up. When purchasing a used car not everything is mentioned, for example, my recent purchase didn’t come with mats and I was not told this when buying the car. Had I been told this I would have purchased mats from them when buying the car. My emails don’t get responded to and calls are passed from person to person and no one takes accountability. The breaks on the car are either completely knackered or have been cheap breaks they have put in. I brought a brand new car from them in 2021 when I had just started driving and have recently brought my second car from them because I was so pleased with my first. Will not be buying from here again once my finance has been paid on my current car due to lack of communication and poor quality of the mechanical side of my current approve used car.

Issues were identified before collecting the car and we were assured that it would be throughly checked and any issues will be sorted. The dealership had 3 days to prep the car and handed it over without fixing the majority of the issues. The car is also dirty inside, still smelled of smoke and had a flat battery on collection. They then promised that the remaining issues would be completed in 1 day. We’re now being told it will be a week.
I understand that this is a used car, but it is listed as “Volkswagen Approved Used”, yet has not been prepped correctly.
For a car that is only 3 years old and almost £30,000 we expected a little more care to be taken.
If you make promises to customers, please ensure that they are followed through correctly.

I would not recommend Johnsons Volkswagen Stoke because when agreeing to buy the car there were some issues on the paint work that the sales person told us would be rectified before our purchase. It took over a week for the sales person to let us know he was happy with the issues and we agreed to collect the car, when we arrived it was obvious that the issues had not been rectified and we were fobbed off that we can now take it to a garage closer to where we live to get the issues resolved. The sales person although apologetic couldn't careless that we had travelled so far to collect the car and we were so disappointed. Also we were never told we needed to arrange the tax on the car and after confusion to whether the correct log book was in place and being told we would need to go to the local post office to sought it out before we could actually drive the car home. Eventually the up to date log book was found and the garage arranged the tax for us .

Avoid Johnsons Volkswagen at all costs.

The car was delivered with the window wipers not working or the jets, and was also 580 days overdue a service, But apparently Johnsons check there cars before they are delivered. To be fair after many phone calls and emails they agreed to book it in for a service with Mercedes-Benz, but then a massive oil leak was found under the gear box upon an inspection from Mercedes-Benz. (Apparently there was no oil leak when it left the garage) but how can you believe that with all the other issues

My experience at Johnsons Volkswagen Stoke could have been better because car poorly prepared, although second hand, too many marks and dirty interior - no one on site to take responsibility, passed from pillar to post - lots of gladhanding but when problems pointed out everyone scattered!

I would not recommend Johnsons Volkswagen Stoke because of the poor communication and the blatant attempt to cover up damage on my used approved vehicle which was not disclosed before or during the handover.
My phone calls were rarely returned requiring myself having to constantly ring for updates and details.
I apologise for any difficulties you have had with our communication. We will take this feedback on board although I believe we have made up for this by offering you additional speciation free of charge on your new vehicle. As to the damage on the other vehicle you purchased, I can assure you that the vehicle was fully inspected before collection and there was no damage at this time. The damage you are reporting would have been clearly visible. Unfortunately, we cannot offer to repair this damage for free as based on our inspection, your inspection and the amount of time you have been in possession it appears the damage was done after your collection.
