I'd recommend Johnsons SEAT Wigan to a friend because I had a great stress free experience. There was a minor issue when picking the car up but this was sorted promptly and Niall went above and beyond to get everything rectified. Overall we were extremely happy with the service - thank you!

This was the worst experience I have had in purchasing a vehicle. I should have spotted the signs when I first looked at the car and placed a deposit on 29 Dec. The sales person told me at the time that he would send me a copy of the signed offer by email. He didn’t do this. And so I chased early January. He continued to ignore this. He sent me a document on 10 Jan but it was not the signed document. I also asked (7 Jan) for confirmation of the claims in Johnson’ advert of “full service history”. Again, I got no response. It wasn’t until I spoke to someone in the service department that I was given details of the service record. Had they not responded I would have walked away from the purchase. And then when I came to look again at the car a 2nd time on 10 January I realised that Johnsons had not installed the Kenwood dashcam that was specified on the order – instead they had installed a less expensive Nextbase model. However, only the front dashcam had been installed and Johnsons could not tell me what the rearcam would look like (since it was clearly not going to be the Kenwood one that I saw in the showroom). I was promised me that I would get a video of the rearcam setup when installed (on 13 Jan Johnsons said in an email: “As soon as that arrive and as soon as it has been fitted, as promised I will send across to you a video of the work being carried out.”).
Again, Johnsons did not honour the promise. I chased Johnsons on this (e.g. 16 Jan) but my emails were ignored. Interestingly, in an email sent to me 9 Jan the salesperson said: “I can assure you that you are in more than capable hands and I am here 24-7 for any queries or concerns relating to your vehicle purchase journey”
I’m puzzled how Johnsons can make such a false assurance. I don’t expect “24-7” response but I expect some response to customer queries.
When I purchased the vehicle (17 Jan) I was not given an invoice and not provided any details of warranty, Gen3 ceramic protection and roadside cover. I was told that these would be sent to me. The only thing that was sent to me was the warranty document. I chased Johnsons for the outstanding items and got no response. Two weeks after purchase I also realised that I had not received anything from DVLA (and so I was unsure if Johnsons had submitted the new owner form, as they are supposed to). I chased this up with someone else in Johnsons as I was not getting any response from the salesperson and it became apparent that Johnsons had not submitted the document to DVLA. It was not until someone else at Johnsons stepped in that I received a copy of the outstanding documents. However, this took so much effort on my side to get sorted.
I originally chose to purchase from a SEAT dealer assuming that I would get a good level of customer service. I now realise that this was a bit naïve of me.
PS I'm not convinced that the dashcam fitted is functioning correctly and have flagged this a couple of times but, as yet, have had no response from Johnsons.

I'd definitely recommend Johnsons SEAT Wigan to friends and family because everyone was friendly & the customer service was great!
