Hendy Used Car Portsmouth were great because simple with no fuss

Steve was very friendly and helpful, was very communicative of when his days off were and pointed me in the direction of colleagues if I needed them on his day off. The whole process was very smooth and I was called back when promised. Overall very satisfied!

I would not recommend Hendy Used Car Portsmouth due to a poor experience both during the sales process and after taking delivery of the vehicle.

There were several issues that left me disappointed:
• I was actively dissuaded from taking a test drive, which raised concerns from the outset.
• The salesperson contradicted himself about the documentation required, stating certain items needed to be seen—but they never were.
• The car was supposedly serviced before handover, but the air conditioning didn’t work from day one, casting doubt on whether the service was done properly.
• A week after reporting the issue, no plan was in place to resolve it. I eventually gave up and arranged for another Kia dealer to investigate.
• At handover, I was told the service book had been stamped, but it hadn’t. The salesperson had to quickly stamp it while I was there.

Overall, the experience lacked professionalism and transparency, and I wouldn’t feel confident recommending them based on how my purchase was handled.

I was pleased with Hendy Used Car Portsmouth and would recommend them because, although there were a few issues and challenges along the way, the branch did do their best to keep me abreast of progress and deliver the vehicle I wanted.
