My brother and i visited the hatfield audi dealership for a part exchange, merely because audi company itself suggested this place to us. Most of the reviews about this dealership was positive on their website so we decided to give them a go.
We were interested on a few different models however the salesperson doing his job pushed us to test drive a3 and my brother really liked the car.
Our own car was valued at £4000 in other dealerships and so audi accepted to go with that price too.
The decieve and lies started from here by the salesperson named Andrew Paine .
First of all we were told that the car had only 2 previous owners but the truth was it had 3 owners.
Andrew and his manager offered us the following for free on the price that was agreed on:
Gap insurance
Tyre protection
Key protection
Assistance recovory and few other things
Which in my sane head was too good to be true as I have bought and sold so many cars in the past 20 years and did for sure know that deale lerships do not give anything for free like this.
Long story short, we were called by Andrew few days after that the car would be ready on a Sunday but because its on a weekend and we need to do a few maintenance on the car int he workshop, the car therefore would be ready to be collected on monday. The real deceive started on this day when we went to sign the contract and collect the car.
Initially we were told that the finance would cost us £268 however everytime when I asked him to give us the exact costs of every month, he would twist things and change the subject.
When reading the contract i noticed that on the paper he valued our car at £2700 when in fact was valued at £4000. I asked him about this cause it is every customer's right to check the paperwork and if any problem with it should be put forward. But here he acted defensive and told us that "this is audi dealership and we would never decieve our customers. Back in the days, dealrships used to do this but its not done anymore."
Yea right...
He really thought that we would sign the contract without first reading it.
When he couldnt answer my question about the value of my car, he called his manager to save him from falling.
The manager like a good team mate came and explained that my car was valued this much less because all the services that i mentiond in above which we were told that we will recieve for free, they were actually charging us £1300 for them. When we told the manager that we were told that they will all be free, he denied it and said we never said anything would be free of charge.
They also added an extra £300 on the final price for workshop and maintenance and if i did not check the contract properly, they would have robbed us off...
All am trying to say is that it doesnt matter which company you visit, if they are big and well known or not, you will always find thieves that would do anything in their power with their bosses to earn extra bit of money off of you. You just need to pay more attention.
Unfortunately i changed my mind from buying audi car all together just because of this bad experience I had and I highly not recommend anyone to visit the Hatfield dealership.
And please if you want to check reviews dont just rely on reviews written on the audi website. Definitely check other websites to get a better idea of what you are dealing with.

I would not recommend Hatfield Audi because my vehicle was not prepared when I picked it up had low Oil and then within a few days found it to have a unmatched tire and a second tire that was virtually bald. The car had residue of food stuff in the creases of the seats and 3 alloys that had not been prepared up to standards that anyone would expect from Audi UK main dealers sold as an 'Audi Approved'. they agreed after chasing to rectify what should have been done but this was only what should have been expected from day 1. My faith in Audi had gone to a new low after being a very loyal customer for 20+ years having brought many vehicles over this time. On another note every car I brought from Vindis Audi was always top noche!
Thank you Tony for tasking the time to share your feedback. We are disappointed to learn of your experience and have passed your comments onto our management team for review. Should you wish to discuss this with us further, please contact audihatfield@group1auto.co.uk and a member of our team will be in touch.

I would not recommend Hatfield Audi because very poor service and no attention to the customers requirements. I did not expected to have such kind of service from Audi official dealer.

My experience at Hatfield Audi could have been better because of the zero actual interest or ability to treat a Customer as a Customer, the Mgt are very self centred and hide behind a Brand name and see themselves as being above Customers as opposed to equal. Interesting that a Trainee Sales Rep ran rings around the entire Mgt Team and saved a Sale from being pulled. Time for the Mgt Team to step up, take responsibility for their poor, rude, disrespectful attitudes, improve business processes and working practices, plus most importantly - learn from your Trainees - because the Mgt Team are out of touch with both reality and Customers!

My experience at Hatfield Audi could have been better if the handover of the car was better. My car was with the garage for almost three weeks and on the agreed date of collection the car was still not ready. The original salesman went on annual leave and said a colleague would do the hand over as everything was ready to go however it was not, it was locked in the compound so was unable to be realised and had not been cleaned. The colleague solved this by offering me a courtesy car. My car that I was waiting to collect had some scratches on which needed to be removed and the oringinal salesman’s had said that this work had been completed however when I picked up the courtesy car and went to view my car the scratches had still not been removed which left me very disappointed. I called to talk to a manager and was told they would call me back after their meeting which didn’t happen which resulted in me calling back again. When I did speak to the manager all I was told was that she would investigate it.
After telling them about my disappointment the college that had taken over was efficient and got the scratches removed the next day.

Because I was with the idea that if I paid £5000.00 deposit the monthly payment was going to be £172.00 when I got the papers it was £191.84 I could get the same car in Whetstone North London for £172.00 monthly payment and with the same deposit
