As electric vehicles are beginning to appear much more frequently on people’s driveways, it’s time for JudgeService, the UK’s leading customer review platform for the automotive industry, to introduce our EV customer satisfaction surveys.

Just like our best-selling post transaction surveys, ReAct, our EV surveys will aim to gather the most valuable insights for your business so that you can truly understand the needs and wants of an individual who purchases an electric vehicle.

This will enable you to understand what their most important considerations were before they purchased their new car. Then adapt your training and advise your sales teams to focus on the key concerns raised. Find out how many of your customers were most concerned about the range of the vehicle vs how many are paying attention to charge time of the battery.

As the government’s sustainable development initiative, puts pressure on the automotive industry to meet the 2030 and 2035 deadline, in order to decrease carbon emissions, more and more electric vehicles are going to need to be sold.

However, many people still have anxieties over the thought of transitioning to electric vehicles. But their concerns extend further than just the vehicle itself. The UK still has a long way to go in order to be able to provide for a nation of electric vehicle drivers.

The infrastructure currently in place, namely charging points, is just not where it needs to be at this moment in time in order to support the demand.

In addition, it’s not just public EV charging points that are required, private home charging may not be as simple as you might first expect.

Currently, the ownership of a new electric vehicle assumes that those purchasing one have their own private place to park, such as a driveway or a garage. This presents an easy option for charging.

However, the issues with home charging arise when individuals live in residences that do not have private parking. If someone enquiring to buy an EV only has on-street parking, how can they charge their car at home?

Similarly with apartment blocks, it would require each building to have ample charging points in the designated parking areas. This could be possible with the implementation of streetlamps with charging points embedded, but who is going to make this happen?

While this might not be immediately pressing, as the supply of electric vehicles increases, the price will inevitably come down, meaning many more people in these living situations will find this an issue.

EV installer surveys

To complement our electric vehicle surveys, we have also started to roll out surveys for people that have had their electric charging points installed at their home or workplace.

They are developed to help charge point installers gather feedback on their customer’s experience and help them to develop a deeper understanding of the needs and wants of their client demographic.

The surveys cover questions surrounding tariffs, power, satisfaction of price and process and so much more. The data gathered from our expertly crafted surveys will no doubt support installers when they come to make important decisions about how they develop their business.
